Buqo’s 36 Days of Christmas

We’re counting down the days til Christmas, only a month to go, and here’s a gift for you, ready, get set, go!

Buqo, an e-book reader application, is giving away free e-books and magazines for 36 days starting November 26!

It's three times as fun as the 12 Days of Christmas!
It’s three times as fun as the 12 Days of Christmas!

I have been using buqo to read local magazines and e-books, some I’ve gotten for free in the past. Yes, they carry e-book versions of local publications and magazines through this app. I have recipe books and parenting magazines in just one go–in a tablet.

Here’s another chance, no, make that 36 chances to get 36 books each day, for free!

How to do it?

1. Download the buqo app on your tablet device. Whether you have iOS or Android, buqo works perfectly in both.

Buqo iOS (App Store): http://bit.ly/buqoapple

Buqo Android (Google Play): http://bit.ly/buqoandroid

2. Starting at 11:00AM of November 26, a free book or magazine can be downloaded through a special banner on the buqo app. Take note, you only have 24 hours to download the freebie of the day, so I suggest you set a schedule already.

3. Take first dibs on what’s in store at the beginning of each day by connecting with buqo’s social media accounts:

Facebook: www.facebook.com/buqoapp

Twitter: www.twitter.com/buqo

Instagram: www.instagram.com/buqoapp

Voila! a new e-book or magazine in your tablet!

How’s that for a Christmas gift? Remember to share this with your friends and family, and give the gift of reading something new everyday to them.

Let me know what you’ve downloaded so far by commenting below.

Visit www.buqo.ph to know more about the service.

We first learned about it through my sister, who had been here a couple of times last year. Then, for her holiday treat to us, she brought us here before Christmas. We had a great time, and I knew we will go back here again.

Luckily, I got an invitation to visit again this month, so we visited on Easter Sunday, after we were done with church engagements from morning to afternoon.

Lots of posters and memorabilia around. Better check them out in between shows, which are 30 minutes apart.

TVs everywhere! While waiting for the on-stage shows, movies are shown.

And this! Acting silly with my hubby.

Before I show you what’s on stage, let me show what’s on our plate:

Popcorn shrimp and rice. It was cheat day for my husband, so he got some beer.

We had a humongous serving of what they call "The Notebook." P420.
We had a humongous serving of what they call “The Notebook.” I had banana milkshake, on the other hand.

I was not able to take a photo of what my mom and sister ordered, it’s called Star Wars, another humongous serving of stir-fried veggies and chicken, over a big serving of rice. Their meals can be shared, so better plan your order well. They also have a buffet, if you’re up for more eating.

So, on with the shows:

Nah, not this! My daughter was too comfortable on stage. This was just about when the restaurant opened, where there were just a handful of diners inside.

The shows began with this cosplayers. Good thing they added more staff, or else there would be no one serving the food!

Barbie Girl. Be-wigged ladies with preppy clothes.

The much-awaited main show, Beauty and the Beast!

During our first visit, this was the main show:

Lion King. The female who sang Mufasa was good.

I think I liked Beauty and the Beast more than their Lion King Presentation. I caught bored dancers during the Lion King, teehee!

Before we ended our night, we caught this!

A foreigner re-proposing to her wife. They have been together for three years and have a child already, but this guy proposed his love and marriage to her. *insert cheesy music here*

They also had an Easter egg hunt. Lucky my daughter was, she missed that morning's egg hunt at church. She got two eggs (with our help, of course) in exchange for toys.

Jazz up your Christmas Cards with Canva

Image

Who likes to receive Christmas Cards? I know I do, and I like making my own, too.

Unlucky me, I do not have artists’ hands to draw, colour, and paint. And that’s when the computer is put in good use. Especially the good ol’ Microsoft Publisher (ya, call me old fashioned, but I do ALL things in that little program!). Then I can just print the cards and they’re ready to be given away.

But technology has made the work of postmen so yesterday. We all do send emails and e-cards as they call it. I do, too, especially when it’s Christmas.

Luckily, I discovered a design website where you can make your Christmas Cards easy, fun, and free!

You read it right.

FREE!

Design your Christmas Cards at Canva, a new, easy to use, design website which can cater to your specific design needs like blog graphics, Facebook covers, presentations, and others.

And since it is the season of giving, Your Royal Kittyness, Touringkitty, is giving away FREE $10 credit which you can use for upgrading your designs by using more images over at Canva. Isn’t it cool?

Head over to this link to claim your gift. I made my own which I have shared over at the Touringkitty Facebook Page.

Choicest blessings to your family this wonderful season!
