It’s Day 2 of my self-imposed daily writing challenge, and just so I could make an entry, I had to use my phone cos the Add New Post when I click on my iPad didn’t work.

But hey, I REALLY want to finish this challenge so let’s do everything to achieve it!

For Day 2, our topic is…food! My favourite topic. Though I do not eat as much as like two years ago, I can proudly say I am smarter with my food choices, which is passed on to my husband and two daughters. Especially with the little one still breastfeeding.

I’ve always wondered how a newborn can survive with just milk. Milk from mommy’s breast, that is. With my two daughters my priority is to nourish them with only the best–only breastmilk for the first six months, and proper weaning foods plus breastfeed as long as possible. Got through five years with my eldest and praying to do the same with the baby.

As years go by, a lot of temptations come, i.e. sweets, salty, fatty, unhealthy foods. I must admit I fell victim time and again. And the evidence was all put on paper, aka the lab results.

But with the arrival of our secondborn, a lot has changed with our eating habits, and I am very grateful.

So, hello, proper food choices! Less to no sugar, salt, and oily. More fiber and protein, less carbs, more water. Difficult to follow but we try and try.

We all must choose health over wealth and pleasure. Before it is too late.
